Deck Challenge: Barbs

I ran across this card in my collection called Mana Barbs http://magiccards.info/10e/en/218.html and I've been wandering what I could do to abuse the card without killing myself.

This challenge is to build an extended or standard deck that abuses this card to its fullest.

Requirements:
standard/extended legal
Includes Mana Barbs
No alt wins with effects like lich's mirror and platinum angel.

The easiest way to win with manabarbs, in my opinion, is to use an elf deck that's red/green. The reason is not only do you not tap LANDS for mana, but your opponent does. Thus, it doesn't hurt you. Plus, elf decks are pretty beastly by themselves so I'd say make have at least these:

Bloodbraid Elf - Most beastly elf + Cascade into anything
Joraga Warcaller - For elf deck, it's a one drop booster
Archdruid Elf - Mega mana for elves that isn't affected by manabarbs
Llanowar Elves - Extra mana that isn't affected by manabarbs
Nissa Revane - Elf deck must have (only run two)
Lightning Bolt - Red deck must have
Violent Outburst - Extra cascade and boosting your elves
Manabarbs - Da Manabarbs
Nissa's Chosen - For Nissa Revane

I know that it probably isn't what you're looking for but it works to amazing standards. There's a litle squeeze room for what ever you want.
