Default Deck Challenge: Field Control, Black/Red

Create a 60-75 card deck, central around cards meant for keeping the enemies field empty, focused on Black, Red, and Black/Red multicolor cards.

Really interested in what users will come up with and how it differs with my current one (not on my account :P)

No card restraints.

Give it your best shot. Good luck :3

I said "No card restraints." in the first post.

Casual Play. No Restraints.

here's my take on this. I doubt that you'll see anything else quite like it.

That is pretty nice. It seems to focus mainly on Red. I prob wont run something like that, but it gives me ideas :3 (Goblin Sharpshooter + Deathtouch)

I already have some artifacts with deathtouch at the go (Basilisk Collar, Gorgon Flail, and Quietus Spike)

that's the point. however, the black is essential for getting worldgorger out on turn two. notice that most of the deck is mana sources

My entry is type 2 even though you said no restrictions. I just prefer type 2.

I gotta say, this deck does impress me. I was skeptical when I saw NO monsters, but it's very nice. It still looks like a Work-in-progress, but I like it :3

It is more along the lines of Burn than Field Control. This deck makes them bleed for each card drawn, then blasts anything they try to play away. The Red spells can also be aimed at the player himself.

Some of them are two-sided swords, like Earth Quake.

But all in all, nice deck idea.

Thanks Toasty . For some reason I love creatureless decks (my main deck is currently Jacerator) and the draw / discard / burn deck fit nicely into this challenge.

Earthquake does damage myself, but it's mainly in there for creature-heavy agro stuff like white tokens or Naya lightsaber. It's almost like the red Day of Judgment. I see your point though. Removed an Earthquake and the 3 Burst Lightning for 4 Runeflare Traps. Great card with the turbo draw mechanism that I forgot about when I made the deck.

Here was my original to the deck challenge - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=45990

It does focus heavily on the Alara Reborn cards, but the main theme of the entire deck is all Multicolor with some really nifty combos.

Main explanation for this deck is in the link. Tell me what you think
